We enjoyed this Africa adventure so much that we would like to share it! We joined a group of friends in September 2001 on a safari tour provided by Overseas Adventure Travel to Zimbabwe, Botswana, and Cape Town, South Africa. We chose this tour for the value it offered for the money, the fact that the group size is small (15 of us made up the entire group), the knowledge that many friends had traveled previously with OAT with rave reports, and the fact that this would be a group of friends and acquaintances whom we knew would all be congenial. We were never disappointed! We have heard since that this itinerary is the “all-time favorite” of all the itineraries offered by OAT.
We purchased the tour package round trip from New York and used some airline coupons which we had to cover the flights from home to JFK. We did buy the OAT 4-day extension to Cape Town, as did most of our group, and felt it was a wonderful addition to the trip.
