Bill and Edith on the condo porch, looking the other direction. The ghost town of Ashcroft--former mining center in late 1800's. Edith and I took a guided snowshoe tour led by Aspen Center for Environmental Studies docent. Former hotel Heading up Crystal Creek Valley 49-w 50-w 52-w View to SW. We are behind Mt. Ajax (Aspen) and Aspen Highlands. The Pine Creek Cookhouse, rebuilt in 2003 after a fire. Our goal for a "gourmet" hot lunch.
