This functioning windmill keeps the water flowing from the canals into the garden waterways.
Outskirts of Keukenhof
These tulip fields are grown only for the bulbs. They are about to cut off all the flowers and throw them away!
This garden is only open for 6-8 weeks each spring. The rest of the year it is being prepped for the following spring.

Thank goodness for the electric wheelchair. Ken's knee had gone out and he could never have seen the gardens otherwise.

Lovely ponds. They "rent" the swans just for the 2 months when the gardens are open!
Connie got to try the wheelchair, too. It had actually been reserved for her because of a fall and back injury at the beginning of the trip
